Yamaha has launched the brand’s first maxi-scooter in the Indian market, the Aerox 155. The Aerox 155 is also India’s first scooter with a water-cooled engine. The Yamaha Aerox 155 comes packed with technology and performance.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with a starting price of INR 129,000 ex-showroom. The brand offers the maxi-scooter in two colour options – Racing Blue and Grey Vermilion. In addition to this, Yamaha is also offering the Aerox 155 maxi-scooter with a Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP livery which comes with a price tag of INR 130,500 ex-showroom.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED tail lamps. The scooter also features a full LCD 5.8-inch instrument cluster with Yamaha X-Connect. The Aerox 155 comes with a step over design, but the lack of the conventional foot-board is compensated with a 24.5 Litre under-seat storage. The storage is capable of accommodating a full-size helmet and also other oddities. The Aerox 155 also comes with USB charging and an external fuel lid.

Powering the Yamaha Aerox 155 is a Yamaha R15 derived 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 15 PS of power and 13.9 Nm of torque matched to a CVT automatic gearbox. The engine also features a VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology as well as a starter integrated into the motor-generator unit (ISG). The Aerox 155 rides on telescopic front fork suspension and twin shock absorbers on the rear. The scooter gets 14-inch alloy wheels shod in wide rubber tyres. For braking duties the Aerox comes with a hydraulically operated disc brake on the front and a mechanical drum brake on the rear.
