Yamaha has brought the updated naked flagship motorcycle the MY2022 Yamaha MT-10 in the international market. The new update adds styling to the motorcycle as well as more power and a cleaner running engine. The Yamaha MT range that comprises of five models starting with the entry-level 125cc which receive regular updates. Recently, Yamaha updated the MT-09 and MT-07 in the international markets. Now, just ahead of the 2021 EICMA show which is ready to take the stage on the 25th of November, Yamaha has unveiled the new MT-10. Internationally, the Yamaha MT-10 competes with the likes of the Honda CB1000R, the Triumph 1200 Speed Triple RS etc. The brand has not yet disclosed the price of the motorcycle, yet. Also, it is not likely to make it to the Indian streets anytime soon.
2022 Yamaha MT-10 – Design and Features
The Yamaha MT-10 comes with its signature quirky styling. The bike gets a new eyebrow-like LED DRL and twin headlamps. While the fascia looks like a big-eyed bug, the rest of the motorcycle is a muscular hunk. The bike also comes with a slender tail and chiselled side panels. Yamaha also offers the new MT-10 with a plethora of electronic features. These are compact twin-eye mono-focus LED headlights along with a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT dashboard. The bike also gets Yamaha Variable Speed Limiter, Slide Control system (SCS), LIFT control system (LIF) and more to enhance rider safety. The brand has also made use of a cleaner box that produces a different sound and adds to the character of the motorcycle. Yamaha will offer the new MT-10 with three colour options – Cyan Storm, Icon Blue and Tech Black.

Powering the Yamaha MT-10 is a 998cc in-line four-cylinder engine. The brand claims that the new engine is now more powerful and more efficient than its predecessor. In addition to this, the brand also boasts to have improved the aural performance of the motorcycle. The new Euro5 compliant engine produces 165 Bhp of power, up from the outgoing model’s 158 Bhp. The new MT-10 also comes with lightweight aluminium forged pistons, offset con rods and direct-plated cylinders that help to maximise efficiency. Thus, Yamaha claims that the new motorcycle is now more efficient and eco-friendly.
