Yamaha Motor Europe has pulled the covers off the 2022 Yamaha XSR900 neo-retro motorcycle. The Yamaha XSR900 comes with a new design and loads of features taking a huge leap in technological advancements. However, the motorcycle offers a timeless design, along with the latest updates. The 2022 Yamaha XSR900 also gets the latest CP3 engine that was updated for the Yamaha MT-09 recently. The engine is now Euro5 compliant and features a plethora of the latest generation electronic features.
2022 Yamaha XSR900 – Design Highlights
In terms of design, the new Yamaha XSR900 features a neo-retro design language with old-school racer looks. The bike gets a rounded headlamp but the latest LED light technology. The bike also comes with a classic style fuel tank giving it a retro racer look. The motorcycle also comes with a short front fender and a chopped rear fender. Yamaha employs a retro racer tail section with a boxy design integrated into the rear pillion. The brand is also offering the XSR 900 with an exposed ‘Deltabox’ frame finished in black. The engine is also finished in black completing the dark looks. Yamaha is offering the Yamaha XSR 900 with two colour options – Legend Blue and Midnight Black. The Legend Blue colour features an old school look with a Blue theme featuring gold highlights on the body, gold finish suspension stanchions and gold finish alloy wheels.

Powering the Yamaha XSR900 is a CP3 series 889cc three-cylinder Euro5 compliant engine with liquid cooling. The engine features the coveted cross-plane crankshaft technology. The Crossplane Crank motor produces 119 PS of power and 93 Nm of torque. The engine also comes with a 6-speed slipper and assist clutch. For the running gear, Yamaha offers high-performance suspension and brakes.
