Triumph could be planning to locally assemble the upcoming Tiger Sport 660 adventure touring motorcycle in the Indian market. The company has listed the new bike on the official Indian website as “Coming Soon.” The company will soon reveal the launch date of the motorcycle. However, sources believe that the brand is looking into the possibility of locally assembling the Tiger Sport 660. This will help the brand price it competitively in the mid-size adventure segment.

Triumph India has observed that the Indian premium motorcycle segment has seen a 10% degrowth in the 500cc and above segment, between November 2020 and October 2021. On the other hand, Triumph has recorded 30% growth in the same period. Furthermore, the brand has observed that more than 50% of sales are coming from the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) models. Triumph is already locally assembling the Trident 660 and the brand could also be planning the same with the Tiger Sport 660.
