Iconic British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has introduced the new Thruxton RS Ton Up, a special edition model for the international markets. The Triumph Thruxton Ton Up made its debut in the US priced at USD 17,300 and the UK with a sticker price of GBP 12,800 MSRP. The special edition Thruxton RS Ton Up draws inspiration from the racing heritage set by the original ‘ton-up’ cafe racers. The motorcycle commemorates the first production 100 mph lap set on the Isle of Man TT by cafe racers.

Triumph offers the new Thruxton Ton Up with an ‘Aegean Blue’ colour theme. The bike comes with a blue fuel tank combined with jet black knee pad graphics for the special edition motorcycle. The motorcycle also comes with a ‘Fusion White’ colour seat cowl, ‘100 Special Edition’ graphics and hand-painted coach lining. In addition to this, the motorcycle also gets details like ‘100’ graphics in ‘Carnival Red’ on the fender with a ‘Thruxton RS Ton Up’ logo. Design elements also include black anodized wheels, black engine covers, and black Ohlins RSU springs.

Powering the Triumph Thruxton RS Ton Up is a 1200cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin Bonneville engine. The engine produces 104 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox and features a 2×2 exhaust system. The exhaust also gets twin-brushed silencers. The motorcycle rides on a tubular steel cradle chassis along with 17-inch wheels. Triumph offers the bike with anodized aluminium, a twin-sided swingarm and a fully adjustable 43mm Showa front fork suspension. The Thruxton RS Ton Up gets fully-adjustable Ohlins twin shocks with 120 mm of wheel travel on the rear. Braking power comes from dual 310 mm front Brembo disc brakes with ABS and 4-piston callipers. At the rear, the Thruxton RS special edition features a single 220 mm brake disc with ABS.

The Triumph Thruxton RS Ton Up special edition features a plethora of rider-focused convenience offerings. These include an LCD multi-functional instruments cluster. The instrument cluster comes with an analogue speedometer and tachometer along with a gear-position indicator, fuel gauge, and service indicator. In addition to this, the dashboard also offers information such as a range-to-empty indicator and a trip computer. The bike also comes with scroll and mode buttons on the heated handlebars.
