Triumph has unveiled a new special edition Street Twin with a postcode “EC1”. The special edition Street Twin celebrates East London’s vibrant motorcycle culture, including youthful & modern hipster bikers. The modern classic motorbike has been launched in the international markets. But Triumph India’s website has also listed the special edition motorcycle which leads us to believe that the bike will arrive in India soon. Currently, the price announcement has not been made for the special edition bike. But Triumph plans to launch the special edition motorcycle in December 2021. Triumph also announced that the brand will offer the Street Twin EC1 special edition for just one year worldwide upon its launch.
Triumph Street Twin EC1 – Design Highlights
The company offers the new Street Twin EC1 in an exclusive Matte Aluminium Silver colour scheme and EC1 graphics. The special edition motorcycle also gets a Matte Silver Ice-colour fuel tank. The motorcycle also features a hand-painted silver coach lining on the Street Twin EC1. The Triumph Street Twin EC1 comes with 10-spoke alloy wheels featuring machined details and twin upswept exhausts. Other features include a lockable chrome fuel filler cap and ‘Street Twin EC1’ badging on the sides.
Triumph Street Twin EC1 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Triumph Street Twin EC1 special edition is a 900cc, Bonneville, liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 65 PS of power and 80 Nm of torque. The motor comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle also features a 2×2, brushed stainless steel exhaust system with dual tailpipes. The bike rides on tubular steel, twin cradle chassis and a dual-sided fabricated swingarm. The motorcycle comes with 41 mm front forks and twin rear shocks and 18-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels.
Braking power comes from a single 310 mm front brake disc with ABS and 4-piston callipers and a single 255 mm brake disc with ABS and a 2-piston Nissin calliper on the rear. The bike sports a 765 mm seat height and 780 mm handlebar width for added rider convenience and comfort. Triumph has also added rider-focused features such as an analogue speedometer, and an LCD multifunctional display.
