Triumph Rocket 3 GT 221 Special Edition Launched in India

Triumph Motorcycles has introduced the new Rocket 3GT 221 in the Indian market as a special edition offering. The company has confirmed that the new special edition motorcycle would go on sale in the country only for one year.

The Triumph Rocket 3 GT 221 Special Edition model comes with special touches such as the use of Sapphire Black in the mudguard brackets, headlight bowls, flyscreen, side panels, radiator cowls and rear bodywork. The sapphire black colour perfectly contrasts with the Red Hopper tank body shade. The motorcycle also comes with bodywork such as subtle tank-top graphics. The brand has inscribed all of Rocket’s exceptional performance numbers. The brand is also offering signature elements including its hallmark twin headlights and sculpted 3 header exhaust.

Mechanicals and Powertrain

Powering the Triumph Rocket 3 GT 221 is a 2,458 cc triple engine. The engine produces 221 Nm of torque and 167 PS of power. Thanks to the high torque of the motorcycle, the brand calls the motorcycle ‘221’ which is actually the torque figure. In fact, this figure is one of the highest peak torque for any motorcycle in the world. The motor comes with a six-speed helical-cut gearbox along with a torque-assist hydraulic clutch.

The Triumph Rocket 3 GT 221 special edition comes with a 47mm upside-down Showa cartridge front forks. The bike also comes with fully adjustable Showa mono-shock rear suspension unit and a piggy-back reservoir. The motorcycle also gets 20-spoke wheels with Avon Cobra Chrome tyres. The fuel capacity of 18-litre is more than adequate for long-distance touring.
