Triumph has introduced the new Speed Triple 1200RR Cafe Racer motorcycle in the international market. The new Speed Triple 1200RR is a retro-style motorcycle that sports a half fairing but comes with contemporary features, advanced electronics and a Euro5 emission compliant engine. The bike will appeal to the modern-classic, retro as well as modern motorcycle enthusiasts. While Triumph has not announced the Speed Triple 1200RR launch in India, the brand is likely to bring the model to ride the current wave of modern classic motorcycles in the country. In the United States of America, the Speed Triple 1200RR retails at the price of USD 20,950 MSRP.
Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR – Design Highlights
The Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR comes with a rounded headlamp encompassed in an old school race fairing. The motorcycle features a retro bubble style visor and wing mirrors. The headlamp features LED light technology integrated with Triumph badging into it. The bike comes with a well-rounded fuel tank and a sharp tail cowling. Triumph has announced two colourways – Red Hopper and Storm Grey theme and a Crystal White and Storm Grey option.

The Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR features a full-colour 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. The dashboard comes with My Triumph connectivity as standard integrating Android and IOS platforms. This enables control over phone calls and music operations. The dashboard also offers turn-by-turn navigation, developed in partnership with Google. The bike also comes with backlit switchgear, and users can also control their GoPro using the nifty technology.

Powering the Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR is a liquid-cooled 1,160cc Triumph Triple in-line three-cylinder engine. The motor produces 180 PS of power and 125 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper and assists clutch. Triumph offers Ohlins 43mm fully adjustable USD front forks and Ohlins monoshock rear suspension unit. The brand also offers both suspensions with Ohlins S-EC 2.0 OBTi electronic compression/rebound damping system. The brand also offers Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers with 320mm twin-disc on the front and a single 220mm disc on the rear, making the Speed Triple 1200RR with one of the highest specifications ever.
