Triumph TE-1 Prototype Features
Triumph has revealed the prototype demonstrator of the TE-1 electric motorcycle. The brand has also showcased the final chassis and subframe of the motorcycle. Under the collaboration, Triumph will also be responsible for designing and developing the cockpit, panels and wheels. Triumph will also provide the TE-1 with a final drive system. This includes transmission and the Gates Carbon belt drive. The TE-1 also features motorcycle control software and electronics developed by Triumph. The motorcycle will also ride on Ohlins USD cartridge forks along with a unique prototype Ohlins RSU. Braking components include Brembo M50 monobloc callipers.
Williams Advanced Engineering will design and develop the final iteration of the prototype WAE battery pack. The company will integrate its dedicated cell packaging for optimum centre of gravity. WAE will also develop the vehicle control unit, integrated cooling, charge port, and styled carbon covers.
Integral Powertrain will develop the final prototype powertrain of the TE-1. The scalable and integrated inverter powerunit will combine with a motor with silicon carbide switching technology. The powertrain will also integrate a cooling system.
WMG at the University of Warwick has done the final pre-live trial simulation. The test results reveal that the project is currently on course. The company also reveals that the TE-1 will deliver the intended performance and durability outcomes, thanks to the findings at the University of Warwick.
