Suzuki Motorcycle India Rolls-Out 6 Millionth Two-Wheeler from Gurugram Plant

Suzuki Motorcycle has recorded yet another milestone in the Indian market. The brand announced that it has rolled out its 6th million unit from the Gurugram manufacturing facility. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic situation the brand has managed the exceptional sales record. In addition to the pandemic, the supply of semiconductor chips has also not been favourable to any automotive company around the world. This year Suzuki Motorcycle also celebrated its 15 years in the Indian market. The 6 million sales figure is quite an achievement, and serves as a testimony of the brand’s dedication to serving the Indian market.

Suzuki Motorcycle Products in India

In the Indian market, Suzuki Motorcycle has a total of 8 products on sale. The line-up includes the Avenis, Access and Burgman Street in the scooter segment. The brand’s motorcycle portfolio consists of the Gixxer Series and also the Intruder. In the month of December 2021, the brand also claimed to be the 5th most selling two-wheeler brand in the country. Suzuki recorded sales of 51,148 scooters and motorcycles for the said period.

These include gearless two-wheelers that are perfectly suited for the urban environment. The brand also reveals that there has been an increase in demand for personal mobility since Covid-19 hit the country, especially in the scooter segment. Suzuki Avenis 125

Recently, Suzuki introduces the Avenis 125 scooter in the Indian market. The scooter comes with a sticker price tag starting at INR 86,700 ex-showroom. The brand also revealed that the scooter will compete in the hotly contested 125cc scooter segment in the Indian market. The segment includes the TVS Ntroq 125, Honda Grazia, Activa 125 and the likes.
