Emerging electric vehicle start-ups, Shema Electric has launched two new electric two-wheelers in the Indian market. The two electric vehicles were launched at the EV India Expo 2021. Odisha-based Shema Electric reveals that the brand observed a massive crowd of interested visitors at the unveiling of their two e-scooters. The brand announces that the high-speed e-scooter is called the “SES TUFF,” while the low-speed model is the SES HOBBY.
At the EV India Expo, Shema Electric also showcased 4 low-speed electric scooters – SES ZOOM, SES BOLD, SES EAGLE, and SES TUFF. The company is currently producing 6 e-scooters in total. Out of the six, five are low speed, and one is a high-speed e-scooter.
Shema Electric – SES TUFF & SES HOBBY Details
The SES TUFF high-speed e-scooter will focus on the B2B segment and multi-utility purposes. The e-scooter comes powered by a dual 60V, 30 Ah Lithium detachable battery. The brand claims that the SES TUFF will come with a range of 150 Km on a single charge. The bike also comes with 150 Kg of loading capacity and a top speed of 60 kph. On the other hand, the SES HOBBY low-speed e-scooter also boasts to be a 100% made-in-India product targeted towards daily commuters.
The SES HOBBY features a 60V, 30 Ah detachable battery. This battery takes around 4 hours to charge from 0-100%. According to the brand, the SES HOBBY attracted a huge crowd of attendees at the EV India Expo. The brand credits the scooters high-end technology and style. Shema claims that the SES HOBBY offers a riding range of 100 Km on a single charge and a top speed of 25 kph.

Shema Electric has a total of 75 dealers in its network across 13 different states in India. The company also aims to advance its products through expansion plans by launching 2 or 3 new high-speed e-scooters. Shema Electric also aims to expand its footprint in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Karnataka, and Gujarat in the next 6 months.
