Ola Electric recently started accepting orders on the new Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooter in the Indian market. The brand announced that the test drives will begin on the Ola S1 from 10th November 2021. Meanwhile the brand is now focussed on launching its electric vehicle charging station in India. Ola Electric calls its electric vehicle charging stations ‘Hypercharger’. Charging Ecosystem
The brand reveals that using the Hypercharger customer’s will be able to charge their electric scooters to up to 50% state of charge in just about 18 minutes. The brand also reveals that it plans to install more than 1 lakh Hyperchargers across the country. The Hyperchargers will be located in nearly 400 cities in India, offering a wide network of charging stations and reducing the range anxiety of the customer.
Ola Hypercharger – Charging Station
Ola has announced that the new Hypercharger will be a multi-level setup. The charging stations will be able to accommodate multiple electric scooter for charging at the same time. In addition to this, Ola customers will also be able to charge their scooter at home using the a regular wall socket. At the same time, customers will also be able to use the fast charging network, deployed in city centres and popular locations around the city. These will include malls, cafes, office complexes, IT parks etc. Thus the brand strives to provide a wide charging network building a robust ecosystem of chargers in the country.
Ease of Use
The Hypercharger will be very easy to use. The customer simply need to plug in their scooter and monitor the charging process on the Ola Electric App. After charging, customers will be able to pay the amount for the electricity using digital modes of payment. This will allow customers to easily monitor the progress, keep track of the electricity used etc using the dedicated mobile phone application.
