Ola Electric has started delivering the Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters in the Indian market. The company organised a special event for the first 100 customers in Chennai and Bengaluru for the deliveries. The first 100 customers were invited with their friends and family to ride the new Ola S1 and S1 Pro home. Furthermore, Ola Electric rolled out the largest-ever direct-to-consumer experience. The company claims that the initiative has become one of the most unique experiences in the history of automotive retail. The direct to the customer initiative offers the customers’ test rides across India.
Ola S1 and S1 Pro – Production and Deliveries
For the smooth delivery process, Ola Electric employed an automated process to priorities the deliveries. The delivery handover is done by an automated system that priorities deliveries as per the purchase date, variant, location, colour, and other factors. The brand also revealed that the Ola scooters are manufactured at the brand’s state-of-the-art Future factory. The future factory also claims to be one of the largest, most advanced, and sustainable two-wheeler factories in the world. The production plant has a full capacity of 10 million per year and employs around 10,000 women on the production line.
Ola S1 and S1 Pro – Highlights
Powering the Ola S1 is a 2.9 kWh battery pack powering a ‘Hyperdrive’ motor. The electric scooter produces 11 PS of power and 58 Nm of torque. Thanks to the powerful motor the scooter can sprint from 0-60 kmph in 7 seconds. The S1 also claims a top speed of 90 kmph. On the other hand, the Ola S1 Pro features a 3.97 kWh battery pack. The S1 Pro claims a top speed of 115 kmph and achieves 0-60 kmph in just 5 seconds while in Hyper Mode. In terms of range, the S1 returns a range of 121 km on a single charge while the S1 Pro comes with a maximum range of 181 km on a single charge.
