Ola Begins Installation of Hypercharger at Select BPCL Fuel Pumps, 4,000+ Charging Points by 2022

Electric mobility company Ola Electric has announced that the brand will install around 4,000 charging points across the country. The CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, revealed through the micro blogging website wherein. Ola revealed that the new charging points would be operational within 6-8 weeks after the installation is complete across India. The brand also reveals that customers from various Indian cities will be able to gain access and use these charging points for free till June 2022.

Ola S1 and S1 Pro – Highlights

Ola Electric unveiled both the S1 and S1 Pro e-scooter last year. The brand has since than gained popularity in the Indian market. At launch the Ola S1 came with a price tag of INR 99,999 ex-showroom. On the other hand, S1 Pro at INR 1,29,999 ex-showroom. Thanks to the FAME II subsidy norms the prices of the e-scooters are reduced across various states. In September 2021, Ola Electric also announced the brand’s plans for a future factory. The manufacturing plant features a completely women-run workforce.

Recently, Ola began the deliveries of the Ola S1 and S1 Pro e-scooters for customers in Chennai and Bangalore. Customers attended the delivery event with their friends and family. They also received the highly-anticipated S1 and S1 Pro. Also, the brand announced that it is using an automatic and scientific approach for prioritizing deliveries to its customers across the country. The automated system uses permutations such as purchase date, variant, location, colour, and other factors to ensure the delivery.

Ola S1 and S1 Pro – Technical Specs

Powering the Ola S1 scooter is a 2.9 kWh battery that powers a ‘Hyperdrive’ motor. The Ola S1 produces 11 PS of power and 58 Nm of peak torque. The bike also sprints from 0-60 kmph in just 7 seconds. The Ola S1 comes with a top speed of 90 kmph. On the other hand, the S1 Pro uses a 3.97 kWh battery with an additional Hyper mode. The S1 Pro can sprint from 0-60 kmph in 5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 115 kmph.
