Norton Reveals V4CR, Cafe Racer Superbike Prototype

TVS-owned British motorcycle manufacturer Norton Motorcycles have unveiled the new V4CR Cafe Racer prototype motorcycle. The new Norton V4CR is the naked Cafe Racer derivative of the recently unveiled V4SV superbike. The V4CR Cafe Racer prototype will become the first model to be designed, engineered and produced at Norton’s newly opened global headquarters in the UK. 

Norton V4CR Cafe Racer – Design Highlights 

The Norton V4CR comes with a stripped-back look showcasing Norton’s craftsmanship skills. The Cafe Racer features a compact framework along with a more diminutive subframe providing an aggressive as well as commanding stance. Norton has reveals that the Cafe Racer will also come with a carbon fibre fuel tank and body panels. The bike also boasts to offer durable quality. The Norton V4CR Cafe Racer will feature polished billet aluminium frame and swingarm. This will further enhance the motorcycle’s look. 

Norton V4CR Cafe Racer – Technical Specifications

The Norton V4CR would underpin Norton’s refined V4 platform. Norton revealed that a team of 30 engineers have revised the platform over the last 16 months. The brand has also put the V4 platform under extensive testing this went on for tens of thousands of road and track miles. Also, the V4CR will feature the same engineering DNA as the 1200cc V4 engine. The engine is capable of producing 185 Hp of power and 125 Nm of torque on the Norton V4SV. The Norton V4CR is also likely to borrow the running gear from the V4SV Superbike. The Norton V4SV also features a fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 front fork suspension and an Ohlins TTXGP rear monoshock. 

Norton V4CR Cafe Racer – Features

Norton is likely to equip the V4CR Cafe Racer with all-LED lighting, riding modes, a full-colour 6-inch display with an integrated rearview camera. The features are also likely to be shared from the V4SV, which comes with a keyless ignition system and electronic steering lock.
