Kawasaki India has launched the new KLX450R off-road enduro motorcycle in India. The Japanese brand has priced the motorcycle at INR 8,99,000 ex-showroom. The KLX450R becomes the brand’s new flagship motorcycle under the KLX range. The Kawasaki KLX450R is developed with the brand’s focus on off-roading. Kawasaki reveals that the new enduro motorbike offers enhanced handling and performance in off-road racing conditions. The KLX series motorcycle from Kawasaki is made to tackle rough terrain with ease. Kawasaki will begin deliveries of the KLX450R from the end of January 2022.

Kawasaki offers the KLX450R in a single ‘Lime Green’ colour scheme. The KLX450R features a single LED headlight and a high mount front mudguard. Kawasaki reveals that the KLX450R showcases its off-road features thanks to the visor-shaped front cowl, rear panel cover and raised handlebars. The brand offers a mix of White and Lime Green colours throughout the motorcycle. The KLX450R also comes with a compact upswept exhaust, a single bench seat, Kawasaki stickers and black KLX body graphics.

Powering the KLX450R is a 449cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine. The engine produces around 56 PS of power and 50 Nm of torque. The motor comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel. The brand offers an aluminium perimeter frame and 48mm, inverted AOS, front telescopic suspension with 285mm of front wheel travel. The bike also comes with a UNI-TRAK monoshock system with two-turn variable high-speed compression and 278mm of rear-wheel travel. The KLX450R offers a ground clearance of 315mm and a seat height of 935mm. With an 8-litre fuel tank, the bike measures 2175mm in length, 820mm in width, and 1250mm in height. Braking power comes from a single 250mm front disc with a 2-piston calliper as well as a single 240mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper.
