MV Agusta has launched a new special edition called ‘Superveloce Ago’. The new celebratory edition pays homage to the great Giacomo Agostini. For the uninitiated Giacomo Agostini is arguably the greatest rider of all time. Giacomo Agostini has 15 motorcycle Grand Prix titles eight of which were won at the highest level. Out of these 15, the rider has won 13 of the races riding an MV Agusta motorcycle. Agostini rode the 500cc and 350cc championship. Also, Agostini had a run of 38 wins in a row in the 500cc category.
Special Edition Superveloce Ago – Features
The Special Edition Superveloce Ago motorcycle features a retro racer look and resembles the motorcycle raced by Agostini back in the 1960s and 1970s. Giacomo Agostini himself unveiled the MV Agusta Superveloce Ago ahead of Emilia Romagna MotoGP at Misano. Also, the Superveloce Ago completed a lap of the course, thanks to Moto2 rider Simone Corsi.
The brand has revealed that the exclusive special edition motorcycle will come in a limited production run. The brand number will be limited to just 15 units. The number also signifies Giacomo Agostini’s number of world titles, thus adding exclusiveness to this special edition. The motorcycle also features unique graphics that not only reverberate with the racing bike from the past but also enhance the overall look of the motorcycle. The MV Agusta Superveloce Ago also comes with a unique cap that features Agostini’s signature on the fuel tank.
MV Agusta Superveloce Ago – Technical Specifications
Powering the MV Agusta Superveloce Ago is a 798cc 3-cylinder engine. The engine makes 145 Bhp of power and 88 Nm of torque. The motor comes with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a bi-directional quick-shifter. The MV Agusta Superveloce Ago also comes with four engine maps and eight-level traction control. The brand is also offering a dedicated racing kit with the 2022 Superveloce Ago. This Racing Kit includes an Arrow exhaust, an engine control unit and a racing map. The motorcycle also comes with a dedicated motorcycle cover, passenger seat cover with Alcantara pad, dedicated red hand grips and more. The motorcycle also comes with a high-performance Ohlins suspension setup along with an Ohlins steering damper, and high-specification brakes.
