Italian superbike brand MV Agusta has introduced the new F3 RR superbike in the international market. The MV Agusta F3 RR comes with a new aerodynamically optimized design and less weight. Thanks to the recent upgrades, the F3 RR clocks better lap times around the track. The WSS (Supersport World Championship) also announced that three-cylinder 800cc motorcycles will now be able to compete with the four-cylinder 600cc machines at the championship.
MV Agusta F3 RR – Design and Aerodynamics
The MV Agusta F3 RR comes with a new aerodynamically optimized design. The bike now features a new carbon fibre fairing with new appendages that help improve the downforce of the motorcycle. The bike also gets a higher than before bubble-style windscreen that helps move air around the rider. The F3 RR also comes with a new front fender that channels air into the radiator, allowing the engine to run cooler. Apart from improving the downforce of the motorcycle MV Agusta has also worked on compensating the aerodynamic drag that helps the bike cut through the air. The F3 RR comes with a signature diamond-shaped headlamp, a muscular fuel tank, and a sleek tail. The bike follows the high-tail, low-noise design philosophy.
MV Agusta F3 RR – Weight Reduction and Features
The MV Agusta F3 RR comes with a redesigned bodywork to not only cut through the air but also to minimize weight. The frame features new updates to the pivot area that help stiffen the chassis. The brand also employs a redesigned alloy wheel on the motorcycle. This unique wheel design shaves off 7% of weight at the rim and a considerable deduction in rotational mass. The MV Agusta F3 RR also comes packed with electronic features such as a 5.5-inch full digital dashboard and a new IMU Inertial platform. The new IMU is designed and developed specifically for the F3 RR.
