Kawasaki has been teasing its new Retrovolution (Retro-Evolution) campaign for quite some time. Now, Team Green has finally pulled the covers off the new motorcycle under the Retrovolution campaign. The new Kawasaki motorcycle is the Z650RS that has made its debut in the European market. Prices in the UK start from GBP 7,549 MSRP, which roughly converts to INR 7.58 lakhs. Kawasaki has not revealed if the brand plans to launch the bike in the Indian market. However, the Kawasaki Z650RS comes with three color options in the European market – Candy Emerald Green, Metallic Moondust Grey/Ebony and Metallic Spark Black.
Kawasaki Z650RS – Design
The Kawasaki Z650RS draws its design inspiration from the 1977 Z650-B1, also dubbed “son of Z1”. The design and styling is a delicate blend of old and new and targets the new-generation rider’s craving for a neo-retro motorcycle. The brand has managed to integrate Z references into the retro styling cleverly. The Z650RS comes with an elongated fuel tank and a straight bench seat. The bike also gets a rounded headlamp with a chrome/dark chrome bezel and LED lighting, blending retro and current stylings. The motorcycle also features artillery-style twin-pod analogue instruments cluster, an upright handlebar and rounded mirrors.
Kawasaki Z650RS – Features
Kawasaki offers the Z650RS with a dual-dial instruments cluster. The instruments cluster features an analogue-style speedometer and tachometer dials. In addition to this, the instruments cluster features a multi-functional LCD screen, balancing retro-looks with modern functionality. The bike also comes with alloy wheels that come with flat spokes designed to look like classic wire-spoke wheels. The alloy wheels feature Kawasaki’s advanced analysis technology, offering a balance of lightweight and stylish looks. The brand also provides rounded disc rotors instead of petal discs to reiterate with the retro-styling.
