Kawasaki Launches New KX450 in India

Kawasaki has launched the new KX450 motorcycle in the Indian market. The brand is offering the enduro motorcycle with a price tag of INR 8.59 lakh ex-showroom. Kawasaki offers the KX450 bike in a single shade of Lime Green. However, aficionados can their race number on the blanked-out white painted spaces on the front and sides of the motorcycle. Team Green is targeting the mid to expert-level riders who need to keep their skill set sharp on the race track as well as for leisure riding off the roads. The Kawasaki KX450 holds the flagship position in the brand’s specialist off-road portfolio and is designed to win competitions. The enduro motorcycle also showcases the brand’s engineering and innovation prowess.

Kawasaki KX450 – Features

The Kawasaki KX450 comes with a lightweight aluminium perimeter frame and Renthal aluminium Fatbar. The handlebar and footpegs are adjustable, thanks to Kawasaki’s ERGO FIT system. The KX450 also comes with a Launch control mode and Electric start. The specialist motorcycle also comes with features such as a DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coating on finger-follower, an automatic centrifugal decompression system and a hydraulic clutch with coned disc spring. The bike also gets spoke-wire rims and off-road spec knobby tyres.

Kawasaki KX450 – Technical Specifications

Powering the Kawasaki KX450 is a 449cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine. The engine comes with a 5-speed return shift gearbox, wet multi-plate clutch and a hydraulic clutch actuation system. The engine also features a 44mm Keihin throttle body DFI fuel system with a Digital CDI and 3 Coupler Option ignition system. Kawasaki offers the KX450 with a 49mm inverted telescopic coil-spring fork. The front fork comes with 16-way compression damping and 16-way rebound damping. The front suspension provides 12.0 inches of travel. The KX450 features a Uni-Trak gas-charged shock with piggyback reservoir and dual-range on the rear. The rear suspension comes with 4-way stepless high speed or 19-way low-speed compression damping. The rear suspension unit also comes with a 22-way rebound damping and adjustable preload and offers 12.1 inches of travel.
