Electric mobility company WardWizard, under the brand name of ‘Joy e-bike’, has announced the brand’s sales report for the month of January 2022. The electric vehicle company revealed that it has sold a total of 3,951 units for the given period. As compared to January 2021 figure, the figure stood at 129 units. Wardwizard’s growth translates to a whopping 2,963 per cent. In the current financial year, Joy e-bikes have already sold more than 21,000 units, aiming to breach the 30,000 mark. Joy e-Bike also revealed that the company has launched its new high-speed scooter model which is also slated to arrive in February 2022. During the union budget announcement, the central government has also emphasized EVs. Hence, we can expect the sales figure to grow.
WardWizard’s Plans For The Future
The electric vehicle segment will also grow much more in the coming years. And hence to meet the customers’ aspirations, Joy e-Bike will also acquire 4 Million sq ft of Land. The company also aims to develop India’s first-ever electric vehicle ancillary cluster in Vadodara. The ancillary will promote the growth of the EV industry by facilitating the production and manufacturing of essential components. The brand will produce electric motor, chassis, steel parts, lithium-ion cell manufacturing unit, lithium-ion battery assembly unit, chargers, controllers, R&D centre, production for electronic components and more. In addition to this, the ancillary cluster will also generate additional 6000 jobs in the state.
