Joy e-bike an electric vehicle subsidiary of Ward Wizard has released its sales report for December 2021. The electric two-wheeler maker has announced that the brand sold a total of 3,860 units in the month of December 2021. Compared to the corresponding period in 2020, the figure stood at 595 units. This translates to a YoY figure of 548 per cent. The brand has shown a similar trend in its quarterly sales as well. Joy e-bike has sold over 17,000 units of electric scooters and motorcycles for the first three quarters of this financial year. When compared to the same period last year, the growth figure stands at 570 per cent.
CY 2021 Highlights
The electric vehicle market has shown an uptrend and to cater to the high demand, Joy e-bikes added a new automatic assembly line. In addition to this, the new automatic assembly line will also help in expanding the annual capacity of its manufacturing plant located in Vadodara. The plant will be capable of churning out from the current 1 lakh units to 2 lakh units. The company also signed an MoU with the Gujarat Government worth 500 crores which will help Joy e-Bike in the research and development of electric vehicles in Gujarat. This will also help expand the brand’s business to new areas.
The brand will further strengthen its presence in its home state, Joy E-bike added 20 new dealerships in Gujarat. Joy e-bike also inaugurated the brand’s first-ever showroom in Assam. Customers residing in the nearby areas can visit the two new exclusive dealerships set up in Guwahati. In addition to this, Joy E-Bike also inaugurated an exclusive company-owned experience centre in Pune, Maharashtra. The company also plans to add three more such exclusive experience centres in Maharashtra soon.
The EV brand also launched a new cloud-based mobile application called ‘Joy E-Connect’, this will help the riders to enhance their overall riding experience.
