Emerging electric vehicle brands WardWizard Innovations and Mobility Ltd has announced the launch of a new e-scooter via the Joy e-bike brand. Joy e-Bike has launched the Gen Next Nanu+ e-scooter in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 1,06,991 (ex-showroom). The brand also launched two other e-scooters alongside the Gen Next Nanu+ which is the Wolf+ and the Del Go for India. The motorcycle has been designed and developed by the brand’s R&D team focussing on promoting localisation and in-line with the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative.
2022 Gen Next Nanu+ – Highlights
The Gen Next Nanu+ will be produced at the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Vadodara, Gujarat. The Gen Next Nanu+ comes with an aggressive yet sharp design language and is aimed towards the younger generation. The brand has announced that it will commence bookings for the Gen Next Nanu+ from February 11th, 2022. The motorcycle will also come with a warranty of 3 years and comes with two colour options – Midnight Black and Matte White. WardWizard has also equipped the e-scooter with an ergonomically designed seat offering an approachable saddle height of just 730mm and a wheelbase of 1325mm.
In terms of dimensions, the Gen Next Nanu+ measures 1800mm in length, 460mm in width, and 1100mm in height and with a front apron-mounted LED headlamp. In addition to this, the e-scooter also comes with turn indicators mounted on either side of the cowl and a dual fork hydraulic suspension. The Gen Next Nanu+ also gets a monoshock rear suspension featuring a ground clearance of 160mm for off-roading purposes. Overall, the e-scooter also sports a turning radius of 1.6-meters and a Keyless Start/Stop switch for easy convenience.
2022 Gen Next Nanu+ – Powertrain
Powering the Gen Next Nanu+ is a BLDC motor with a three-speeds offering an instant punch of torque. The 1500W motor comes with an advanced NMC battery offering high energy density and longer life cycles in India. The scooter also comes with a portable 60V battery pack and the motor produces 20 Nm of torque with a 55 kmph top speed. The e-scooter also comes with three riding modes – Eco, Sport, and Hyper.
