Honda has revealed the new Rebel 250 Cruiser in the Japanese market. The Honda Rebel 250 is the brand smallest motorcycle in the Rebel portfolio which includes the Rebel 500 and the Rebel 1100. The Honda Rebel 250 comes with a price tag starting at JPY 599,500 MSRP. This translates to roughly INR 3.95 lakh ex-showroom. Honda will retail the Rebel 250 in two variants in Japan – Rebel 250 and Rebel 250 S. The higher-spec variant comes with added features such as a headlamp shroud and more premium seats. Honda is also offering the Rebel 250 with a new colour option – Pearl Spencer Blue.
However, the brand has not officially announced if it will bring the American style cruiser to India. But, Honda could introduce a heavily localised 300cc model of the Rebel cruiser in the Indian market to make the competition more relevant in the country. Currently, the popularity of modern-classic is on the rise and there are very few brand’s competing in the entry-level cruiser segment. Honda could leverage this opportunity to launch the new Rebel 250 Cruiser.
