Hero Electric Will Expand to 1000 Touchpoints by 2022

Hero Electric is planning to expand to a total of 1,000 sales touchpoints by 2022. One of the largest electric scooter manufacturers in the country now has its focus on opening 300 new sales touchpoints. The accelerated expansion of electric two-wheeler companies will lead towards a projected growth of 20% in the next five years. Hero Electric has announced plans to expand its production capacity as well. The brand will also double its current sales in comparison to the previous year. The company revealed that it witnessed a positive Q2 across its 700+ sales and service networks which are spread across 500+ cities in India. Hero Electric also revealed that the demand is rising and the interest is spurred amongst the entrepreneurs and seasoned dealers from the automotive industry.

Government Policies

Government policies have encouraged citizens to switch to electric vehicles. Also, this has led to the rise in the demand for EVs due to the consumer-friendly policies from the central and state governments. This has enhanced the adoption of electric vehicles is due to better infrastructure, heightened awareness and selection of EVs among the masses. The government of India and various state governments are also offering a number of incentives to commoners, helping them accelerate the adoption of EVs in India. These incentives include cash benefits, tax benefits and discounts. The government is also encouraging the manufacturers by offering them subsidies on localising electric vehicle production.

Hero Electric has over 4 lakh e-scooters on the road. The brand boasts that it has sustained its dealerships despite the pandemic. Also, the brand has extended thoughtful initiatives to ensure the wellness and safety of its employees. Hero Electric organised various sessions during the pandemic through its dealerships. The initiatives include training for Mental health, Yoga, and Digital Sales in order for employees to maintain their confidence. This has also enabled employees to constantly engage with the company, even during the lockdown, for added productivity.
