Leading electric mobilty company, Hero Electric has announced that the brand has partnered with, 24/7 roadside assistance company ReadyAssist. Hero Electric revealed that the brands will work together to train and upskill 20,000 mechanics for servicing EVs. The brand has announced that under the Private Garage Owners (PGO) initiative, the company will focus on reskilling technician competence to build a robust EV ecosystem. This partnership will also allow the brand to identify technicians who are willing to upgrade their skills during two years of coaching.
Skill Set Training & Partnership
Hero Electric mentioned that the training program will consist of two stages. The training will be divided between the beginners and experts, respectively. The brand mentions that once the mechanics finish their training, both companies will provide a final assessment before handing out a ‘Certificate of Merit’. The brand also revealed that the certified mechanics will then be able to provide their services to ReadyAssist across their Indian customer base via their GRID initiative. This company also focuses on EV competency to address the growing demand for on-spot and doorstep services in India.
Hero Electric also states that the company is planning to enable a strong network of proficient mechanics to serve its large customer base. In addition to this, the partnership with ReadyAssist will accelerate Hero Electric’s objective of empowering individuals. It will also enhance their competency via the expansive PGO network. ReadyAssist states that the partnership will allow them to access and certify a private workshop into Hero Electric authorized workshop.

Hero Electric is currently focusing its R&D teams and resources to train ReadyAssist with its existing network of 5000 mechanics. The brand is working with Hero Electric’s vehicles. The brand will also be training the mechanics to work on other EV products.
