Hero Electric Crosses 50,000 Sales Mark in CY2021

Hero Electric has announced that the brand has registered sales of more than 50,000 electric vehicles in the 2021 Fiscal. Hero Electric is one of the country’s largest electric scooter manufacturer and sold a total of 50,331 units in 2021. The company claims that this is the best-ever sales since 2007. Hero Electric also mentioned that the Optima and NYX electric scooters have led the sales chart. Currently, Hero Electric has a 36 per cent market share and the EV maker is rapidly expanding its reach to newer market locations. Also, due to increased awareness and infrastructure, the brand has been able to capitalise high sales figures in the country.

Hero Electric Future

Hero Electric has joined hands with other EV startups to build a vast and robust charging infrastructure. EV charging infrastructure is key to EV adoption and thus Hero Electric is concentrating its efforts on the same. In addition to this, Hero Electric is also partnering with various logistics companies. The brand will help provide them with electrified last-mile delivery vehicles. The brand boasts that more than 16,500 customers are currently on the waiting list. To meet the rise in demand Hero Electric is also ramping up its production capacities. Also, the company is looking to meet the target of 1 million sales in the next five years. Parallel to the rise in production and sales, the brand will also expand the charging infrastructure in the Indian market.

Hero Electric’s Sales and Service Network

Hero Electric has been the leading electric vehicle manufacturer in the Indian market for the past 14 years. Currently, the brand hasover 700 sales and service outlets across the country and a customer base of more than four lakh. The government of India is also offering various incentives to manufacturers as well as citizens for accelerated adoption of EVs in the country. This will further help the company to expand its service network as more people adopt electric vehicles.
