2022 Yamaha R1 GYTR VR64 Tribute – Design Highlights
The Japanese brand has designed a special livery for the Yamaha R1 GYTR VR46 to commemorate Rossi’s illustrious career. The new livery has been designed by Valentino Rossi’s friend and helmet designer, Aldo Drudi. The special edition bike also features Rossi’s signature number 46 on the cowl. The motorcycle also comes with a combination of Yamaha Racing Blue, Yellow, and Light Blue across the side and rear panels. The brand is also offering a new matte black 22-litre fuel tank. The Yamaha R1 GYTR VR46 also comes with a new Akrapovic racing exhaust.
The upcoming 2022 GYTR spec parts and unique features come with Yamaha’s WorldSBK development. The WSBK development team has also helped Yamaha achieve the 2021 WorldSBK Triple Crown. Yamaha’s WorldSBK development team has is using a new carbon fibre fairing kit and a carbon rear subframe. Valentino Rossi also attended the EICMA 2021 where the champion received the bike for the ‘One More Lap’ event.
