Suzuki has debuted the special-edition GSX-S1000 motorcycles at the EICMA 2021 show in Milan. Under the special edition, Suzuki offers two models reflecting the brand’s commendations at various motorsports competitions. The first is the GSX-S GP Edition, which comes with the Anniversary livery of the official Suzuki MotoGP motorcycle. The naked sports motorcycle comes with a Blue and Slate Grey shade colour theme. The second special edition is the Suzuki GSX-S SERT which uses a dual-tone red and black colour theme. The special edition naked motorcycle features a livery similar to the GSX-R1000 from the Yoshimura Suzuki Endurance Racing Team Motul, world champion in the EWC 2021. Mechanically, both the motorcycles remain the same.
2021 Suzuki GSX-S1000 – Highlights
Suzuki made some significant changes in the 2021 GSX-S1000 motorcycle. These changes were both cosmetic and mechanical. In addition to this, Suzuki also upgraded the electronics package of the motorcycle. Thus making the bike even more appealing to the customers.
Powering the Suzuki GSX-S1000 is a 999cc inline-four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 150 Hp of power and 106 Nm of torque. The motor comes with a 6-speed gearbox and features a bi-directional quick-shifter. In addition to this, Suzuki has also upgraded the intake and exhaust system as well as added an electronic throttle control. Engine upgrades also include new valve springs and re-profiled camshafts. The brand also added a new catalytic converter system to the motorcycle.
2021 Suzuki GSX-S1000 – Features
The Suzuki GSX-S1000 comes with Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), which offers three distinct riding modes. The bike also gets a bi-directional Quick Shift System for clutchless up/downshifting. Suzuki also offers an updated Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) with 5-mode settings. Also, there is a newly installed S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System) which is an intelligent electronic control system.
