Italian premium two-wheeler brand Aprilia has revealed a new Grand Turismo scooter, the ‘SR GT’ at the EICMA 2021 in Milan. Aprilia reveals that the new SR GT will be available with two engine options, a 125cc and another 200cc. Additionally, Aprilia will also offer the SR GT with new Sport trim. The Sport trim comes with sporty graphics on the grand touring style scooter. As of now, Aprilia has not made any announcement on the Indian launch of the SR GT range. But expect Aprilia to introduce the scooter in the next year owing to the rising demand in the maxi-scooter segment.
Aprilia SR GT – Design Highlights
The new Aprilia SR GT features an upright front fascia featuring a large windscreen. The scooter features a step over design with an extended footboard and an upright handlebar. The new SR GT comes with triple LED headlamps, reverberating with the Aprilia design. The scooter also features a double fairing and a suspended windscreen that offers excellent aerodynamic protection to the rider. The design of the new Aprilia SR GT draws inspiration from Aprilia’s endurance range of motorcycles. The brand also offers the Aprilia SR GT with knobby tyres and a long stroke suspension to allow the rider to traverse over any terrain with ease.
Aprilia SR GT – Features
The Aprilia SR GT comes with full LED headlamps, LED taillamps and a full-digital LCD instruments cluster. The brand reveals that customers can also choose the Aprilia MIA as an optional extra, allowing the user to connect their phone via Bluetooth. The Aprilia SR GT also features a 9-litre fuel tank positioned in the central tunnel offering a more forward and “active” riding position. The scooter also gets a 25-litre large under-seat compartment that can accommodate a full helmet. The SR GT also comes with a handy USB port in the leg shield backplate.
Aprilia SR GT – Powertrain
Powering the Aprilia SR GT will be two engine options. The brand will offer a 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine on the entry-level variant. The engine produces 14.7 Hp of power. Aprilia will also offer the SR GT with a 200cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This motor produces 17.4 Hp of power.
