Italian premium bike manufacturer, Aprilia has revealed the new Tuareg 660 adventure bike at the EICMA 2021 in Milan. The brand continues the legacy of the Tuareg nameplate which was first introduced in 1985. Aprilia used the moniker for its authentic off-roading machines. The new Aprilia Tuareg 660 carries forward the legendary name using the Aprilia 660 platform. The brand has also revealed that the Tuareg 660 is designed, developed and built as the “ideal synthesis between mono-cylinder enduros and mid-range adventure bikes,” both of which have been opposite to date.
Aprilia Tuareg 660 – Colour, Price & Availability
Aprilia has announced that the Tuareg 660 will come in three colour options – Acid Gold, Martian Red and Indaco Tagelmust. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 will come with a starting price tag of USD 11,999 MSRP. The Paris-Dakar inspired Indaco Tagelmust livery comes with a price tag of USD 12,599 ex-showroom. The brand has also announced that the adventure bike will be available in the international market from February 2022.

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 features an upright enduro design language. The bike features Aprilia’s signature triple headlamp cluster with sharp details and unique LED DRL light signatures. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 comes with a muscular fuel tank with tank extensions, a tall windscreen, and a sturdy engine bash plate. The bike features bench-style seating, a sleek tail section with LED lighting, and a high-mount exhaust. Thanks to APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) the motorcycle also gets an extensive electronics package. This includes riding modes, ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, traction control, engine braking, etc. In addition to this, the brand also offers a 5-inch TFT display.

Powering the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is a 659cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine. The liquid-cooled engine produces 80 Hp of power and 70 Nm of torque. The motor is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike rides on a steel trellis frame with a plate welded subframe and also comes with a very long-travel suspension. The motorcycle also comes with an 18-litre tank heavily tapered in the leg area for stand-up riding. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 also gets a 21-inch front, and 18-inch rear wheel shod in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, measuring 90/90 front and 150/70 rear.
