Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati has announced the brand latest sales performance. According to Ducati, the brand has registered sales of 49,693 units in the global markets. The brand reveals that it has exceeded its own global sales volume of 48,042 units, registered in 2020. In the history of Ducati the brand has made the highest retails in the first nine months of 2021. As compared to 2020 the company shows a 3% increase and a 25% increase compared to 2019. In the world market Ducati has achieved the highest sales in Italy (7,954), followed by the US (7,475) and Germany (5,627). The numbers were recorded at the end of September.
New Ducati Motorcycle For 2021
Throughout 2021 the brand also introduced new products in its portfolio which not only created much appreciation for the brand but also converted to sales. Product-wise, the Multistrada V4 remains the most sold bike in 2021. This is followed by the Scrambler 800 range, Streetfighter V4, and the Monster. Ducati also unveiled its newest range of 2022 products in the international market. The first episode on the Ducati World Premiere online featured 2022 Multistrada V2, the latest addition to the 800 range, the 2022 Scrambler Urban Motard. This year, Borgo Panigale also celebrated the 50th anniversary with the new Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro anniversary special.
Ducati Going Electric
Ducati has signed an agreement with Dorna Sports, the organizer and promoter of MotoGP World Championship. The brand revealed that it will be the sole supplier for FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. MotoE World Cup is the electric class of the MotoGP World Championship. Ducati will supply electric bikes from the 2023 season till 2026. Which means the Italian brand will be supplying the bikes for four seasons. Through the transfer of technology, Ducati will introduce the electric technology into its production bikes in the near future. Ducati announced the agreement during a joint press conference in the press room of the Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’.
