Ducati motorcycles have announced the Italian brand’s sales performance for CY 2021. The brand recorded sales of 59,447 units for the given period. Thanks to this, the brand boasts that 2021 was the best year for Ducati in terms of sales figures. In addition to this, Ducati was also winning the MotoGP Constructors’ World Champion for the second consecutive year. The brand is also venturing into the electric segment, beginning the electric era with the Ducati V21L prototype. The electric prototype model will compete in the MotoE Championship starting from 2023. Despite the challenges faced in 2021, including the unsteady supply of semiconductor chips and the disruption in the global supply chain due to the COVID pandemic Ducati still managed to attract a healthy number of orders.
Ducati Key Markets
According to the brand, the following are the key markets for the Italian premium motorcycle maker. In the United States, Ducati sold a total of 9,007 units in 2021. When compared to 2020, the brand recorded the sales figure increased by around 32 per cent. In the Italian market, Ducati posted a growth of 23 per cent and sold a total of 8,707 units. In Germany, Ducati sold a total of 6,107 units for the said period taking the number three spot. Compared to 2020, the growth translates to 11 per cent. The brand also mentioned that important markets that contributed significantly to Ducati’s sales include China, France and the UK. However, in Australia, Ducati recorded its highest ever growth with 50 per cent when compared to CY 2020.

A large amount of customers for the Ducati brand has bought the new Multistrada V4. The Ducati Multistrada V4 motorcycle accounts for 9,957 units of sale. On the second and third number were Scrambler 800 and Monster coming in with 9,059 units and 8,734 units of sales, respectively. To attract more customers, Ducati introduced new models for 2022.
