Ducati has unveiled the new Multistrada V2 in the international market. The new Ducati Multistrada V2 targets the young generation buyers who wish to join the world of ‘adventouring.’ Therefore, the brand will also be offering the 35-kW version for A2 license holders in the global market. Ducati follows the philosophy of “continuous improvement”, and the brand claims to have improved the Multistrada V2 on multiple facets. The new motorcycle features the latest technologies in terms of its engine and the electronics package. Ducati has also worked on improving the motorcycle’s ergonomics and shaved-off weight during its developmental stage. The new bike claims to be 5kg lighter than the predecessor.
Ducati Multistrada V2 – Design & Features
Ducati offers the Multistrada V2 with the signature ‘Big Adventure’ motorcycle design. The bike comes with a sharp beak on the front with twin LED headlamps. Above the headlights sits a windscreen that offers the rider protection from wind and weather. The motorcycle comes with knuckle guards integrated with front turn indicators. The bike also features a muscular fuel tank and radiator shrouds. The Multistrada V2 features a wide and scooped rider seat and a wide pillion seat with a chunky rear grab rail. The Multistrada V2 also features upright handlebars and relaxed mid-set footpegs. The brand also offers alloy wheels on the front and rear shod in road-biased tyres. The Multistrada V2 also comes with a colour TFT dashboard and a mid-mounted exhaust.
Ducati Multistrada V2 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Multistrada V2 is a 937cc Ducati Testastretta 90-degree V-Twin engine. The engine with the Desmodromic valvetrain produces 113 Hp of power and 96 Nm of torque. The liquid-cooled engine comes with electronic fuel injection and a 6-speed transmission with a Ducati quickshifter. The bike rides on a tubular trellis frame with a 48mm USD fork that gets electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment on the front and rear monoshock. Stopping power comes from dual 320mm semi-floating discs on the front and 265mm on the rear.
Owing to the popularity of the Multistrada brand, Ducati is likely to launch the Multistrada V2 in the Indian market, pretty soon.
