Bounce has also revealed that the brand will be using Battery Swapping technology to reduce the range anxiety of the customer. The battery-swapping station will provide the customers with the convenience of having a charged battery during extensive riding. The brand also revealed that they would soon start accepting the pre-bookings. The deliveries of the electric bike will also commence from January next year.
Bounce Battery Swapping & Recharging Stations
Bounce will be working on, a robust and wide charging infrastructure as the demand for EVs on the roads is growing. However, the charging infrastructure is still in a nascent stage. The number of charging stations available is still very limited and open in a few cities. Bounce will leverage the concept of battery swapping as there are very few players planning to do the same. Thanks to the battery charging station, customers will be able to carry extra charged batteries with themselves. The user can then swap the used battery with a fully charged one.
In addition to this Bounce will set up a battery-swapping station, where the customer need not carry the charged battery by themselves. Customers can swap a fresh battery replacing the exhausted one by visiting one of these battery swapping stations. The brand boasts that the use of the battery swapping concept makes the running cost of electric scooters 40 per cent less than conventional petrol scooters.
