Bounce Electric has revealed that the brand is partnering with Readassist, Helloworld, Kitchens@ and Goodbox to expand its battery-swapping network across India. The electric mobility company will have battery swapping network across 900 new locations. Also, Bounce announced that under the partnership, a new electric eco-system will be available in 10 cities across the country. The company is also financed by investors such as Accel India, Accel US, Sequoia Capital India, B Capital, Falcon Edge, Qualcomm, Chirate, Omidyar Network, Maverick Capital, etc., and has raised over USD 220 million.
The framework will also allow the charging network to be available at diverse locations which includes restaurants, cafes, co-living spaces, corporate offices, Kirana stores, etc. Under the new strategy Bounce electric chargers will be made available at these points. Bounce customers will also be able to find the nearest swapping station on their Bounce App. Bounce also announced its partnership with Park+. The company will be setting up over 3,500 battery swapping stations across ten cities in India.

On the 2nd December 2021, Bounce also revealed the company’s first -ever electric scooter. The brand is offering a ‘Battery as a service’ option, with the electric scooter, which is a first of its kind initiative in the Indian market. The new battery-swapping station will have charged and ready-to-go batteries which the customers will be able to swap in matter of minutes. Also, the battery swapping station works similar to a fuel station reducing the range anxiety of the customer. The system is also convenient and hassle-free.
Bounce Battery Swapping Eco-System
Bounce Electric is planning to aim to set up enough battery swapping stations within one kilometre of wherever its customers are located within the next 24 hours. This will help the brand build a robust battery swapping infrastructure that will support over a million scooters.
