Recently, we reported that BMW is planning to launch a new maxi-scooter in the Indian market. The German brand also teased the C 400 GT maxi-scooter with the Gateway of India in the background. We speculated that the brand would leverage the festival season for the market launch of the new scooter in the Indian market. Now, the wait is finally over. BMW Motorrad has just launched the new BMW C 400 GT maxi-scooter at the price of INR 9.95 lakh ex-showroom. The BMW C 400 GT comes with contemporary styling, advanced features, Grand Tourer ergonomics and German engineering. BMW will be offering the maxi-scooter with two colour options – Alpine White and Style Triple Black. While the Alpine White comes as standard, the Style Triple Black is an INR 20,000 optional extra.
BMW C 400 GT – Features
The BMW C 400 GT comes with features such as a keyless ride and self-balancing ASC. The scooter also features Ride by Wire functionality, a USB charging socket and a centre stand. Other features include traction control, ride modes, an anti-theft alarm system, and Bluetooth connectivity. As an option, BMW Motorrad also offers a 6.5-inch colour TFT display. The dashboard features turn-by-turn navigation and the ability to make phone calls or control the music. The brand also provides full-LED headlights, a 30-litre waterproof storage case and a tall windshield with scratch-proof coating.
BMW C 400 GT – Technical Specifications
The BMW Motorrad C 400 GT comes with a 350cc, single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling. The engine produces 34 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque paired to a CVT gearbox for an automatic drive. The BMW Motorrad C 400 GT can achieve 0-100 kph in 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 139 kmph. The maxi-scooter rides on a 35mm telescopic front suspension and double aluminium swingarm with spring struts on the rear. The C 400 GT also gets dual disc brakes on the front and a single disc on the rear. The maxi-scooter comes with 15-inch front and 14-inch rear alloy wheels.
