Bajaj is planning to bring in a new Pulsar to the Indian market. The brand has now used its social media channels to tease the new motorcycle. This bike will become the flagship Pulsar motorcycle in our country. Bajaj introduced the Pulsar brand back in 2001. In the past two decades, that brand has also constantly upgraded the Pulsar range offering many best in class and first in class features. The new Pulsar is also likely to set the benchmark higher than the predecessor.
What Does the Teaser Reveal?
The new teaser reveals that the brand plans to launch a semi-fired motorcycle, likely to come with an LED headlamp setup and taillamps. The brand has given us a glimpse of the tail lamps unit, which appears to have a double boomerang light signature. The motorcycle will also come with split seats and split pillion grabrails. The bike will get a half fairing which comes with a tall visor and clip-on handlebars. But the riding dynamics on the motorcycle are likely to be city and highway-friendly. This will make the new Pulsar an ideal highway touring motorcycle, a recent trend. The Pulsar is also likely to come with an advanced electronics suite. This may include an LCD dashboard, illuminated switchgear and much more.
Bajaj Pulsar Engine Speculations
Powering the Bajaj Pulsar could be a new larger displacement quarter-litre engine. It was speculated that the 250cc engine will be a liquid-cooled single-block derived from the Bajaj-KTM partnership. But the teaser reveals that an engine is an air-cooled unit which leads us to believe that Bajaj has developed the new engine in-house. However, the performance data on the engine is still scarce, but we speculate that the engine will be capable of producing between 22 and 27 Hp of power. Rumours are that the brand will offer VVT (Variable Valve Technology) on the engine.
