Bajaj has announced the brand has commenced bookings for Chetak electric scooters in the state of Goa. Customers can book the Chetak electric by visiting Bajaj India’s official website with a payment of INR 2,000. The brand has announced that the Chetak EV is being sold via the KTM outlet in Mapusa. The company offers only one variant of the Chetak for sale in the state – the Premium variant. In its Premium trim, the Chetak EV gets a sticker price of INR 1,44,625 (ex-showroom). In other cities, Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is available in two variants – Urbane and Premium.
Technical Specifications
Powering the Chetak electric scooter is a 3.8 kW motor. The scooter comes with a non-removable 3kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack. The EV is capable of offering a top speed of 70 kmph and a range of 95 km in the Eco mode. The Bajaj Chetak also has design and aesthetics. The scooter is available in four – blue, black, red, and hazelnut. The scooter is one of the better-looking products out there.
New Chetak
Reportedly, Bajaj is working on launching an upgraded version of the Chetak electric scooter. The scooter brand will also be highly localized, reducing the dependency on imported components. The brand is also likely to use an improved and powerful motor for the new Chetak electric. The peak output figure stands at around 4.2 kW and a continuous output of 4.0 kW.
