Aprilia Tuono 660 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 660 is a 659cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin cylinder engine. The forward-inclined engine comes with a separate water-oil heat exchanger to optimise the thermodynamic efficiency. The Tuono 660 comes with a ride-by-wire throttle and electronic fuel injection. This helps the motor produce 95 PS of power and 67 Nm of torque. To put things into perspective, the supersport Aprilia RS660 comes with a higher state of tune. The engine on the RS660 produces 100 PS of power. The Tuono 660 comes with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper assist clutch.
The motorcycle rides on a 41mm upside-down front fork suspension. The front forks feature top-out springs and come with adjustable preload and rebound. Rear suspension duties are handled by a monoshock suspension with adjustable preload and rebound. The motorcycle features an asymmetrical aluminium swingarm on the rear. Stopping power comes from twin 320mm discs on the front and a single 220mm rotor on the rear with Brembo callipers and a metal braided hose.
