Electric vehicle start-up Hop Electric Mobility has announced the unveiling of the brand’s HOP Megaplex in Jaipur. Through the state-of-the-art Hop Megaplex, the EV manufacturer aims to increase production and revolutionise the traditional mobility space. The new Megaplex facility will allow Hop Electric Mobility to achieve a production capacity of 1.80 lakh units per year. The brand currently produces and develops ‘Made-in-India’ electric two-wheelers such as the HOP LEO, HOP LYF, and the upcoming HOP OXO.
The company has employed a skilled workforce of more than 100 qualified employees who are capable of producing 100 e-scooters each day. The brand delivers its electric scooters across 55 locations. The new facility also features an advanced assembly line and features an end-of-the-line testing facility. In addition to this, the Megaplex also consists of Lithium-ion batteries, cell testing capability, and a paint booth. The brand also launched its regional operations in Jaipur thanks to the Megaplex. The brand also revealed that the Hop Megaplex has been inaugurated by the Rajasthan Minister of Road and Transport.
HOP Electric Mobility – Future Plans
The brand has also made a lot of changes in the traditional mobility segment thanks to its advanced technology and in-depth Research & Development. The brand also reveals that it has recently announced the 2022 Union Budget by boosting the charging/swapping infrastructure, enhancing India’s EV sector. The brand is also spreading awareness amongst customers with regards to EVs, this is also particularly helpful as it promotes environmental conservation. The company’s current portfolio consists of the HOP LEO and the HOP LYF, electric scooters which have gathered massive traction amongst consumers.
The two e-scooters boast to be economical with customers claiming costs of about INR 20 paise/km while riding. Furthermore, the brand states that vehicles running on ICE motors use fossil fuels with high toxins. The brand will also soon announce its HOP OXO, a high-speed e-bike alongside a new high-speed scooter.
