Emerging electric vehicle start-ups Bounce Infinity has announced that the brand has conducted more than 10 lakh battery swaps in India. The company also boasts that it has become the first Indian electric infrastructure company to achieve this landmark accomplishment. Bounce also managed to showcase the EV brand’s technological prowess and its commitment towards electric mobility affordable and accessible to all consumers.
Bounce Infinity charging network
The Bounce Infinity uses the same principle as a regular fuel station. The Infinity Swapping stations feature fully-charged batteries for EV customers. Customers can then easily swap out their nearly-empty batteries for fully-charged ones within a few minutes. Thanks to the infrastructure, customers need not wait for the long charging times improving the turn-around-time. Bounce also reveals that the company is currently working on expanding its Infinity Swapping Network that it has introduced with its Infinity E1 e-scooter.
Bounce revealed the e-scooter in December 2020 and claims to come with India’s first and one-of-a-kind ‘Battery as a service’ option for its customers. This service allows customers to greatly reduce their running costs by almost 40%, compared to regular ICE-powered scooters. Bounce also offers the Infinity E1 scooter with a portable battery that can be removed by the customer and charged at their home or office. This feature greatly reduces the range anxiety of its customers.
Bounce Infinity E1: Highlights
The Infinity E1 comes with a price tag of INR 45,099 (ex-showroom). With the battery and charger, the e-scooter costs INR 68,999 (ex-showroom).
Powering the e-scooter is a 48V, 39A portable battery pack that powers the electric motors via an Advanced FOC controller. The electric powertrain produces 83 Nm of torque and is capable of achieving a top speed of 65 kmph. Thanks to the Eco and Power modes, the e-scooter can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 8 seconds.
