Electric vehicle market across the world is currently booming. Especially the scooter segment is the one witnessing the maximum demand. A French mobility company, Mob-ion, has revealed the brand’s latest offering in the form of an electric scooter named AM1. The AM1 is one of the first electric two-wheelers entirely made in France. In addition to this, the scooter also gets AFNOR accreditation. AFNOR is one of the stringent in the automotive industry and the accreditation is only awarded if at least 50 per cent of the vehicle’s production takes place in France. And it is important to note that the scooter has also achieved a localisation figure of 70 per cent. In addition to this, the brand will also set up more production lines which will further increase localisation.
Technical Specifications
Powering the Mob-ion AM1 is a brushless electric motor that makes a power output of 3kW. The bike comes with two removable batteries that offers a combined delivery range of 140 km on a single charge. Mob-ion claims that charging time for the e-scooter is around 2.5 hours for 0 to 100 per cent. The scooter is also able to reach a top speed of 45 kmph, that does the job for intra-city commutes.

The AM1 scooter comes with LED headlights, a GPS-based location system, an anti-theft system that gets a remote shutdown option, a reverse gear etc. The e-scooter also comes with a digital instrument cluster offering a plethora of information. The AM1 also features a total load-carrying capacity of 260 kgs.
Price
In France, the Mob-ion comes with a sticker price of EUR 3,582, MSRP which roughly converts to INR 3.04 lakh.
