Harley-Davidson has revealed its 2022 lineup of motorcycles across segments for the international markets. Among these motorcycle’s is the new 2022 Street Glide Special, a Grand American Tourer. Harley-Davidson reveals that the Street Glide Special will arrive at authorized dealerships globally. The brand also reveals that other MY22 models from the American manufacturer will also arrive at the nearest showroom soon.
The brand will also be introducing new motorcycles built by its Custom Vehicle Operations which will be revealed in the coming weeks. Harley-Davidson will also launch the upcoming motorcycles through the “Further, Faster.” World Premiere Event scheduled for January 26th 2022. The company has also ensured to update the brand’s India website with all the available details of the upcoming Street Glide Special. We speculate that the brand is likey to introduce the model soon in the Indian market as well.
2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special – Highlights
The MY22 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is the brand’s original factory custom bagger. The motorcycle offers excellent power for the highway and features black or chrome finishes. Harley-Davidson offers the motorcycle with a total of 5 colour options. Five colours each for the Black trim and the Chrome trim. These include Vivid Black, Black Denim, Gunship Grey, White Sand Pearl, and a Midnight Crismon exterior with Vivid Black inserts.
But the brand revealed that the exclusive Redline red colour scheme will be available only for the Black trim of the 2022 Street Glide Special. The chrome-finish trim also comes with a combination of chrome and steel across the powertrain, wheels, exhaust tips, and front forks. In addition to this, the Black trim features matt black wheels, exhaust tips, powertrain elements, front forks, and the fuel tank console. The 2022 Street Glide Special also comes with features such as Stretched Saddlebags and a bright white Daymaker LED headlamp.
2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special – Technical Specifications
Powering the 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is the 1,868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. The motor comes with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection and a four-valve setup. The engine produces 97 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed manual transmission with a 10-plate assist clutch. The 2022 Street Glide Special also features an approchable 690mm of seat height, 125mm of ground clearance, and a 22.7-litre fuel tank.
