Mahindra-backed Classic Legends will manufacture the new BSA Gold Star in the Indian market. Currently, the brand has not revealed details of the launch timeline or the prices. BSA Motorcycle was one of the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer before it became defunct. Classic Legends has resurrected the brand introducing its first new-age motorcycle. The brand has dubbed the new modern-classic bike, the BSA Gold Star. The 2022 BSA Gold Star made its debut at Motorcycle Live, NEC Birmingham.
2022 BSA Gold Star – Design Highlights
The BSA Gold Star draws inspiration from the M24 and DB34 Gold Star and the modern-classic motorcycle gets individual analogue speedometer and tachometer units. The instruments cluster also comes with an individual LCD multifunctional display. The muscular fuel tank on the motorcycle comes with an offset fuel filler cap and pinstripes giving it a retro look. BSA also offers the motorcycle a black chassis and chrome fenders. The engine is based on a pre-unit single and retains original BSA looks and comes with chrome finishers. The bike also comes with an ergonomically designed handlebar and footpeg position. BSA also offers original Lucas lamps but with modern LED technology. The Gold Star will be available in Insignia Red, Dawn Silver, Midnight Black, Highland Green and Silver Sheen (Legacy Edition).
2022 BSA Gold Star – Technical Specifications
Powering the Gold Star is a 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The four-valve DOHC engine features twin spark plugs and produces 45 Bhp of power and 55 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed transmission. BSA is offering an all-new dual-cradle chassis with a D- Loop integrated into the design. The bike rides on 41mm telescopic forks on the front and twin shock absorbers on the rear. The motorcycle gets Brembo single 320mm disc brake at the front and a 255mm disc at the rear. BSA also offers a Continental dual-channel ABS for safety. The Gold Star gets an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke alloy wheels shod in Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyre on both the front and rear wheels.
