BMW Motorrad successfully concluded the Bhubaneshwar leg of the International GS Trophy Qualifiers. The event was held between 20 November 2021 and 21 November 2021. The International GS Trophy is a great platform for off-roading fans who can showcase their skills. Participants also stand a chance to compete at an international level. The multi-city event is held across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar.
Qualifiers from this event will be fit to compete at the Indian National Qualifiers. BMW Motorrad held the event at a Helipad Ground opposite the ancient Konark Sun Temple in Puri. The Konark Sun Temple is one of the most iconic destinations in Odisha. The destination gets a healthy number of tourists from across the country. The brand revealed that the India qualifier event will take place every two years. Thus challenges at this national level qualifier event are in tune with the ones held at the International GS Trophy. The brand revealed that all BMW GS motorcycle owners from India can take a part in this qualifier.

BMW Motorrad has announced that the top three winners of the competition will establish ‘Team India’. The team will go on to represent India at the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2022 which is scheduled in Albania. Here the team will be able to compete against other teams from Brazil, China, France, Germany, Japan, Latin America, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, South East Asia, South Korea, United Kingdom and the United States of America. BMW Motorrad also mentioned that the team would get full equipment along with brand-new event-specific BMW GS motorcycles. This will allow the riders to perform their best and fight against the other teams at the international event.

According to the brand, the GS Trophy is a team competition and not a race. The participating teams compete against each other on a series of challenges.
