High Petrol Prices Lead To Jump in Electric Vehicle Sales
Recently, the price of fuel in India has skyrocketed. This has led to a rise in the adoption of electric vehicles. To put things into perspective, even if a vehicle is capable of returning a range of 50 km to a litre, the price of the fuel itself has crossed the INR 110 mark. This means to travel 50 km one needs INR 110 at the minimum. On the other hand, electric scooters are capable of traversing about 750 km with the same amount of money spent on charging. This not only saves money but also reduces the tailpipe emissions as well as the nation’s dependency on oil.
