Electric mobility brand Ather is currently expanding its retail network in the Indian market. After recently opening a new outlet in West Bengal, the brand has diverted its focus back to the southern Indian region where it is headquartered. The brand has announced the opening of a new showroom in Mysore, Karnataka. This tasks the total count of Ather experience centres to 20 in the Indian market. The new showroom in Mysore is the third showroom in the state of Karnataka, revealing its popularity in the southern Indian state. Ather will retail and offer test drives on both the Ather 450X and Ather 450 Plus from the new showroom. The location of the new showroom is Ather Space, at Hunsur Road, Hinkal. The brand has opened the new showroom in association with Honnassiri Energy Pvt Ltd, Mysore’s leading retailer.
Ather Grid – Charging Stations
Along with expanding the Ather Space, the brand is also expanding its electric charging network – Ather Grid. In Mysore, there are four Ather Grids – Hinkal, Nazarbad Mohalla, Gokulam Road, and Vijayanagar. Here customers will be able to recharge their electric scooters. The brand is also planning to add around 8 to 10 more Ather Grid charging stations in the city. This will help customers with reduced range and charging anxiety. The move will also help encourage more individuals to adopt electric mobility. For convenience, Ather also sets up a charging point at the customer’s home or office, enabling them to keep the electric scooter topped up and ready to go.
Ather 450X – Technical Specifications
The brand’s flagship scooter, the Ather 450X, features a 6kW PMSM electric motor. The motor comes paired to a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The powertrain enables the scooter to achieve 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. Also, the Ather 450X electric scooter is also capable of charging at the rate of 1.5 km per minute. The brand also offers the scooter with three riding modes – Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp. The scooter is also equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard with a 4G SIM card, Bluetooth Connectivity, and Google Maps navigation.
