KTM has launched the new 1/8th litre supersport motorcycle, the KTM RC 125. The gen-2 KTM RC 125 comes with an all-new design and features. With the new RC 125, KTM expands its RC (Race Competition) portfolio in the Indian market which has lately gained quite a bit of popularity.
2022 KTM RC 125 – Price & Colours
The new KTM RC 125 comes with a starting price tag of INR 1,81,913 ex-showroom, Delhi. KTM offers the motorcycle in two colour options – Dark Galvano and Ceramic White. Both colour themes feature bold graphics on the body and orange alloy wheels. The front fascia also features a carbon-fibre-like pattern, enhancing the sporty appeal of the motorcycle.
2022 KTM RC 125 – Design Highlights and Features
The 2022 KTM RC 125 draws its design inspiration from the KTM RC16 MotoGP racer. The brand offers a multi-faceted reflector halogen headlamp on the front, along with LED DRLs and indicators flanking the sides. The brand has now employed Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD) for the bodywork and the bike comes with a new bubble-style windscreen. The new aerodynamic styling helps channel air around the motorcycle and rider. The brand has also reprofiled the shape of the mirrors to make the bike more aerodynamic.
The bike also features new footboards, footpegs, and new seats for both the rider and pillion. In addition to this, KTM has also raised the clip-on handlebar by 15mm to enable a more comfortable position for day-to-day street riding. The KTM RC 125 also comes with new electronic features such as a full-digital LCD dashboard. The bike also gets SUPERMOTO ABS mode and a new tail light with LED indicators.
2022 KTM RC 125 – Technical Specifications
Powering the 2022 RC 125 is a 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The motor produces 15 PS of power and 12 Nm of torque. The bike also gets a larger airbox for improved performance and efficiency. KTM claims that the RC 125 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 14.6 seconds. The bike can also achieve a top speed of 120 kmph thanks to a new chassis frame that is 1.5 kg lighter.
