Triumph is getting ready to launch the new Tiger 1200 adventure motorcycle in the international markets. The brand is currently testing the prototype model of the new Triumph 1200 and revealed that the new generation model would be lighter and more powerful than the predecessor. The brand also boasts that the new Tiger 1200 will be significantly lighter than its competition. Triumph is testing the development mule not just on the tarmac but also off-roads, which is true Tiger territory. The new Tiger 1200 will also bring class-leading agility and a powerful engine in the adventure bike category.
Triumph Tiger 1200 – Design Highlights
Currently, pictures of the new Triumph Tiger 1200 sans camouflage are unavailable, but photographs reveal vital details of the design and styling even with camouflage wraps. The new Tiger 1200 appears quite athletic and comes with sleek headlamps, a sharp beak and a tall windscreen. The motorcycle also features a muscular fuel tank with extensions on the side that cover the radiator on the side. The bike also gets a rugged bash plate for the engine and rugged knuckle guards on the handle. The Tiger 1200 will come with ergonomically designed seats, footpegs, and a handlebar that allows the rider to ride the road and trails easily. Also, expect the motorcycle to come with features such as all-LED lighting, a full-colour LCD dashboard and connectivity features.
Triumph Tiger 1200 – Technical Specifications
Triumph has not yet revealed the engine specifications of the Tiger 1200. But the brand announced that the new Tiger 1200 would come with the new T-Plane crankshaft and the iconic 1-3-2 firing order. The unique 180-degree, 270-degree, and 270-degree firing intervals offer manageable power and torque, allowing the rider to push the motorcycle to the limits. The outgoing model comes with a 1,215cc three-cylinder engine that produces 141 Hp of power and 122 Nm of torque. The new engine will not only be powerful but also lighter than its predecessor. The Tiger 1200 will also come with upside-down front forks and a monoshock suspension on the rear. The bike will also get cross-spoke wheels shod in knobby tyres.
